Biography
Representative Melanie Stinnett, a Republican, serves Greene County (District 133) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first term in November 2022. In addition to her legislative duties, Representative Stinnett is a healthcare executive and speech-language pathologist. Over the course of her career, she has combined clinical expertise with entrepreneurial leadership, having spent many years as a small business owner before transitioning to the non-profit sector to further her commitment to community service. A proud Bear, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Missouri State University. Representative Stinnett resides in Springfield with her husband and their two sons.
