Biography
Deni Taveras was born in New York, New York, on December 13, 1972. She is an environmental scientist and chemist, having worked at the Environmental Protection Agency from 1999 to 2001. She also served in the Federal Emergency Management Administration in public affairs and disaster assistance from 2005 to 2007, and as a public infrastructure analyst from 2007 to 2009. Her professional experience includes roles as a legislative aide for Maryland State Senator Victor Ramirez, a consultant for Coffey Consulting at the U.S. Department of Labor, and service as a Prince George's County Council Member from 2014 to 2022. She was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in November 2022 and has been a member since January 11, 2023.
