Biography
Jefferson L. Ghrist was born on March 14, 1975. He attended North Caroline High School in Ridgely, Maryland, and later attended Chesapeake College. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Salisbury State University, earned in 1997. Prior to his legislative service, he served as a County Commissioner of Caroline County from 2006 to 2014, serving as President from 2010 to 2012 and in 2014, and as Vice President from 2013 to 2014. His public service career has also included roles with the Bainbridge Development Advisory Board, the North County Water and Sewer Authority, the Mid-Shore Regional Council, and the Caroline County Social Services Advisory Board. He was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2014 and has been a member of the House since 2015.
