Biography
State Rep. Carrie Rheingans is serving her second term representing the 47th House District. She grew up in one of Michigan’s rural towns. Before being elected to office, she was a project director for the Michigan Public Health Institute and a lecturer at the U of M School of Social Work. She serves on the Washtenaw County Board of Health, Washtenaw Emergency Medical Services Commission, and is vice chair of programming for the Ann Arbor Democratic Club and is a member of the American Federation of Teachers Local 6244.
