Biography
Forrest Dunbar is a state senator and a major in the Army Guard. His career includes service on the Anchorage Assembly, where he was a two-time Chair. He formerly served as the Vice President of the Scenic Foothills Community Council, as an attorney at the Office of Public Advocacy, and as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan. He also served as a wildland firefighter with the Northstars. His professional background includes working as an attorney at Chugach Government Solutions and briefly at Stoel Rives LLP, prior to full-time military service. In his youth, he worked as a commercial fisherman, in canneries, and at Fred Meyer. He is a lifelong resident of Alaska and has lived in Eagle, Cordova, and Anchorage.
