Biography
Kamela Smith is originally from Philadelphia. She is a product of the Philadelphia School system. She relocated to Delaware over two decades ago. Since earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, she has dedicated her career to human services- working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, the aging population and the mental health space. Today she serves at a health system focusing on opening doors and exposing youth to careers in healthcare. Kamela holds a Master of Education Counseling from Wilmington University. In 2025, Kamela joined the 153rd General Assembly.
