Biography
Marvin E. Holmes, Jr. is a legislator who was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2002 and has been a member since 2003. His background includes service in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Search and Rescue Air Crewman from 1970 to 1974, where he received a Unit Commendation Award and the National Defense Service Medal. In his professional career, he has served as a senior project manager in civil engineering, a CEO, and in real estate and home sales consultancy. He has served on numerous state task forces, commissions, and committees throughout his tenure in the legislature, including the Environment and Transportation Committee and the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee.
