Biography
Born in Garrison, Kentucky, Steve Johnson attended Shady Spring High School in Shady Spring, West Virginia, and the Raleigh County Vocational Technical Center. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1977 to 1987. His career includes work with JC Electric Inc., Keminash & Associates, B&L Automotive, Bendix, RCA/General Electric, Lands End Recreational Vehicle/Mid Atlantic Motor Coach, United Parcel Service, and the Rite Aid Distribution Center. He served as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Aberdeen from 2005 to 2017. He has also been a member of the Aberdeen Auxiliary Police since 2006. He is a business owner, managing a rental property company, the Johnson Family Pharmacy, and a commercial cleaning company. He has served in public roles including with the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, the Aberdeen Economic Development Commission, and various boards and councils in Harford County. He was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018 and has been a member of the House since January 9, 2019.
