Biography
Born in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He earned a B.A. in Political Science in 2006 and an M.A. in 2007 from Ball State University, and a MDiv from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2023. He serves as a Social Justice Minister at Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church in Fort Washington, Maryland. His professional career includes working as a Professor at the University of Maryland University College from 2012 to 2019, a Legislative Assistant at CSX from 2015 to 2017, an Associate at The Smith-Free Group LLC from 2017 to 2021, and as a Senior Manager for Government Relations at the Corn Refiners Association from 2021 to the present. He has also served as the African-American Diversity Leadership Chair for the State of Maryland.
