Biography
John Hoffman (Democratic Party) is a member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 34. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 5, 2027. On June 14, 2025, Hoffman and state Rep. Melissa Hortman (D) were shot at their respective residences. Hortman and her husband died due to their injuries. Hoffman and his wife were taken to the hospital where they underwent surgery. Both Hoffman and his wife survived their injuries.
