Biography
Collins Seitz Jr. is the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. He assumed office on November 8, 2019. His current term ends on November 8, 2031. Seitz was nominated by Gov. John Carney (D) on October 24, 2019, and unanimously confirmed by the Delaware State Senate on November 7, 2019. He succeeded Leo Strine as chief justice. In Delaware, the position of chief justice is a specific seat on the court (similar to the Supreme Court of the United States) rather than a peer-selected leadership position.
