Jimmy Blacklock (Republican Party) is a judge for Place 1, Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court. He assumed office on January 6, 2025. His current term ends on December 31, 2026. Governor Greg Abbott (R) appointed Blacklock to the Texas Supreme Court on January 2, 2018, to replace Justice Don Willett. Blacklock is the Chief Justice on the Texas Supreme Court. He was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) in January 2025 to succeed justice Nathan Hecht. He was sworn in on January 6, 2025.
