Biography
Steve Daines (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. Senate from Montana. He assumed office on January 3, 2015. His current term ends on January 3, 2027. Senate to represent Montana. Before being elected to the Senate, Daines was a member of the U.S. House, representing Montana's At-Large Congressional District from 2013 to 2015. In 2007, Daines served as then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's (R) Montana presidential campaign chairman. He was also the 2008 Republican nominee for lieutenant governor of Montana. On March 4, 2026, Daines announced he was not running for re-election to the U.S. Senate from Montana in 2026.
