Biography

Angus King was born in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1944. He earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in 1966, and his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1969. King previously worked as a lawyer, as counsel for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Alcoholism and Narcotics, a television host, and an energy company owner. King served as Governor of Maine from 1995 to 2003.
