Biography
Bobby Joe Champion (Democratic Party) is a member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 59. He assumed office on January 8, 2013. His current term ends on January 5, 2027. Champion began serving as Senate president in January 2023. Champion was a 2018 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota. He suspended his campaign on June 11, 2018. Champion's name still appeared on the ballot. Champion served in the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 58B from 2009 to 2013.
