Biography
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 18, 1987, Caylin Young is a graduate of Baltimore City College (2005), Hampton University (B.S. Mathematics, 2010), and the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., 2016). His career background includes serving as a mathematics teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools, a legislative assistant in the Maryland House of Delegates, and a community outreach coordinator for the Maryland State Senate. He has also worked as a legal fellow for U.S. Senator Cory A. Booker, a judicial intern for the Maryland Court of Appeals, and a law clerk for both the Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City and Bond & Taylor, LLP. Additionally, he served as Public Policy Counsel and later Director of Public Policy for the ACLU of Maryland, and as Director of Legislative Affairs for the City of Baltimore. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Director of the Office of Equity and Civil Rights for the City of Baltimore. Elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in November 2022, he has been a member since January 11, 2023.
