Biography
Born in Washington, DC, Kriselda Valderrama attended Oxon Hill Senior High School and graduated from Salisbury State University in 1996 with a B.S. in Respiratory Therapy. She served as a Respiratory Therapist at Inova Fairfax Hospital from 1996 to 1999 and has worked as an anchor and co-host for Valderrama's America since 1997. Her professional experience includes serving as executive staff for the Office of the International President of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME) from 1992 to 1993 and 1999 to 2001, and as a strategic communications specialist in the Public Affairs Department of AFSCME from 2001 to 2012. First elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2006, she has been a member of the House since 2007.
