Biography
Representative Kem Smith, a Democrat, proudly represents part of St. Louis County (District 68) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2024. Rep. Smith grew up in North St. Louis County and is a graduate of Hazelwood Central High School and North Central University. She received her Doctorate of Education from NCU in December 2022. Rep. Smith is a veteran educator and has first-hand experience in seeing economic impacts on the local community. She holds a deeply firm belief in the power of positive change, based on the principles of fairness and equality, underscoring her commitment to serve her constituents.
