Biography

State Rep. Jamie Thompson is in her second term in the Michigan House of Representatives and was first elected in November 2022. She serves the 28th House District, representing residents in Brownstown Township, Flat Rock, Rockwood, Woodhaven and parts of Taylor in Wayne County, as well as Berlin Township and Frenchtown Township in Monroe County. Jamie has been a fierce fighter for freedom, prosperity and hope and is working to defend families, communities and small businesses for a better tomorrow. Jamie is a Licensed Practical Nurse who has experience providing acute and long-term care. She also has worked to empower and provide emotional and educational support to women during pregnancy and childbirth as a professional Doula. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and received the Soroptomist Women’s Achievement Award in 2012.
