Biography
Emily Shetty was born in Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Mathematics, Markets, and Management Studies in 2005 and received her J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2008. She has served as a Legislative Assistant and Legislative Director for United States Representative Ed Towns, Counsel for the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, Senior Director of Federal Legislative Affairs for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a consultant for The Stanton Park Group, and Vice-President of Advocacy for Horizon Government Affairs. She is currently the founder of Step Up Advocacy.
