Biography
Born in Detroit, Michigan, in February 1964, Delegate Mike Rogers attended Hillcrest High School in Sumter, South Carolina, and New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps from 1986 to 2015, retiring as a Colonel. His public service includes roles as Director of the Russet Homeowner's Association, President of the Meade High School PTSA, and football coach for the Severn Athletic Club. He is a member of the Maryland Veteran Trust, the Board of Directors of the Military Officers Association of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post no. 276, the National Contract Management Association, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., the Knights of Columbus, and the Prince Hall Masons. He was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018 and has been a member of the House since January 9, 2019.
