Biography
Crista Lee Wells (Democrat) serves the residents of District 11. Councilwoman Wells is a graduate of Ben Davis High School and the University of Indianapolis. She earned her master’s degree from Marian University in 2012 and has served as a public educator since 2009. In 2007, she was selected as a 500 Festival Princess. She previously served on the Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees and currently serves as a precinct committeeperson in Wayne Township. On the Council, she serves on the Administration and Finance Committee, the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Committee, and the Public Works Committee. She was awarded the 2020 Indiana Advisor of the Year by Indiana Business Professionals of America and received the 2022 Dare to Dream Community Member Award from Ben Davis University High School.
