Derek Cahill

Biography
Derek Cahill was elected to serve the 23rd District in November, 2023, on the city's southside in Perry Township. Derek has over 20 years of living in Perry Township and working in the private sector in various roles, including IT, marketing, distribution, food service and operations. He has served as past president of the Perry Township GOP Club, and was elected as a precinct committeeman and state convention delegate. Economic redevelopment, public safety, and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure are issues close to Councilor Cahill's heart as he looks forward to serving on the Council. He currently serves on the Council's Administration and Finance, Community Affairs, Education, Environmental Sustainability, Metropolitan and Economic Development and Public Works Committees. Derek is married with two children in elementary school, one attending a charter school and one in the public school system.
